I went to a very interesting site: recovery.gov
It tracks the stimulus money. Here are a few of the projects we (the taxpayers...not non-taxpayers, but taxpayers) are funding:
Recipient Name: HK Contractors, Inc.
Project Location: East Glacier Park, MT
Project Description: Park wide traffic and quality control
Cost: $2,099,993
Almost three million dollars! Outrageous!
Here's another:
Recipient Name: Cayo LP
Project Location: Corpus Christi, TX
Project Description: Demolition and removal of mooring dolphins and mooring anchors
Cost: $3,180,000
Outrageous!
Here's another one:
Recipient Name: Regent of the University of California
Project Location: Berkeley
Project Description: Collaboration for the development of magnets with fields
Cost: $50,231,000
Over 50 million dollars for the development of magnets! Amazing!
Here's another:
Recipient Name: CH2M Hill Inc
Project Location: Redding, CA
Project Description: sediment removal at Iron Mountain mine superfund site, Shasta City, CA
Cost: $20,550,000
Sediment removal...over 20 million dollars! Crazy!
And get this one:
Recipient Name: Farmland Foods, Inc.
Project Location: Wichita, KS
Project Description: Ham, water added, cooked, frozen, sliced, 2-lb
Cost: $4,843,400
A 5 million dollar ham! That must have been one big hog!
I couldn't read any more after this one, it made me so angry that a ham costs taxpayers...not non-taxpayers, but taxpayers...almost 5 million dollars!
I have a few words to say about all this:
Ridiculous, asinine, stupid, foolish, brainless, senseless, idiotic, moronic! And every other word I can think of!
